Privacy Policy
Effective October 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Upskill360 ("Upskill360", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use the Upskill360 mobile app and the website at upskill360.app (together, the "Service"). Upskill360 is operated by Nicholas Becherer. If you have questions, email info@upskill360.app.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address and password. Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see them.
- Career profile: your current role, your goal (level up in your role or move to a new one), target role and level, and the work experience you enter.
- Resume: if you upload one, the file (PDF, Word, text or image) and the profile we extract from it (such as job titles, employers, dates, skills and a short summary). Resumes often contain contact details; that information is stored with the file. Your resume file is kept privately in your account: only you can open it from the app, and our systems read it automatically to build your profile. You can remove it at any time in Profile, and it is deleted with your account. If you ask for a resume review, we keep the review (a score, strengths, suggested improvements, missing keywords and suggested rewrites of your lines) with your profile until you upload a new resume or remove it.
- Job postings: if you use Job match, the job posting text you paste and the match we create from it (a fit score, your strengths and gaps for the role, likely interview questions, suggested resume bullets and keywords). You can delete any match in the app.
- Story bank: the interview stories you save or edit (a title, the skill and the story text). You can edit or delete them in the app.
- Certifications: if you use Cert Booster, the certifications you add as held, and a list of skill areas with a strength level that we work out from your resume, assessment and answers so we can compare you with certification exam objectives, plus each certification's issue and expiry dates if you choose to add them. You can remove held certifications and dates in the app at any time.
- Answers: the answers you write or speak (kept as text) to assessment questions, daily questions and mock interviews, along with the interviewer's questions, follow-ups and replies, and any questions you ask the interviewer at the end. For spoken mock interview answers we also keep your speaking pace (words per minute and speaking time), worked out on your device from the text and its timing; no audio is recorded.
- Coach notes: short notes the AI coach keeps about your progress (for example strengths, what you're working on, and which of your stories work best), so each question and piece of feedback builds on the last. You can read them in Profile → Your coach and clear them at any time; they are deleted with your account.
- Ratings: if you tap thumbs up or down on a question, feedback or scorecard, we keep that rating and any reason you add. When you tap thumbs down or add a reason, a copy of the rating and the AI-written question or feedback it refers to (not your answer, and without your name or email) is kept for our team to review so we can improve the coaching. These copies are deleted with your account.
- Support messages: anything you send us by email.
Information created by the Service
- Your assessment results (an estimated level of Entry-Level, Mid-Level, Senior or Principal/Staff, a readiness score for your goal, strengths, gaps and focus areas), your daily questions, AI feedback and scores, mock interview transcripts and scorecards, streaks and skill statistics.
Information collected automatically
- Device information: a push-notification token so we can send your daily question, tell you when a mock interview scorecard is ready, remind you in the evening if today's question is still waiting (you can turn this off in Profile) and, on Sundays, send a short recap of your week, and your device's time zone offset so questions arrive at your chosen local time. Signing out removes the token from your account.
- Subscription status: whether you have an active subscription or trial, the plan, renewal and expiry dates, and the store you bought through. Payments are processed by Apple or Google; we never receive your card details.
- Usage analytics (app): which features you use and when (for example finishing onboarding, answering a question, starting a mock interview, or opening a notification), with an app instance ID and basic device information (model, operating system, app version, country). This helps us see what works and where people get stuck. It never includes your name, email, answers, resume or job postings, and we do not use advertising identifiers or share it for advertising. Provided by Google Analytics for Firebase.
- Website analytics: on upskill360.app we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages and videos are useful. It does not use cookies, does not track you across sites and does not collect personal information.
- Technical logs: our service providers keep standard logs (such as IP address, request times and errors) to operate and secure the Service.
Website sign-ups and Mentor Deep Dive tickets
When you join the early-access list, ask to be notified about Mentor Deep Dives, or buy a ticket, we collect your name, email address and, if you choose to give them, your current role, company and area of interest. For tickets we also keep the series you bought, the amount paid and the Stripe payment reference. Card details are entered on Stripe's checkout page and are never sent to us. We use this only to manage the session (for example, sending joining details and reminders), to tell you about future training if you asked us to, and to understand demand. We do not sell it. We may share attendee names and submitted questions with the series mentor when needed to run the session. You can ask us to remove your sign-up or stop emails at any time by emailing info@upskill360.app. We keep sign-ups for up to 12 months after the session, and notification-list sign-ups until you unsubscribe.
The website does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
2. How we use AI
Upskill360 uses Claude, an AI model provided by Anthropic, PBC, to:
- read your uploaded resume and extract a structured career profile;
- run mock interviews: write questions for your target role and level, write the interviewer's replies and follow-ups to what you say (and answers to any questions you ask about a question or at the end), then score the interview and send you a scorecard with recommendations. So that the interviewer can reply without a long pause, what you've said so far may be sent when you pause, before you finish; if you keep talking, that reply is discarded;
- create assessment questions and estimate your current level and readiness for your target role from your answers, and build your personal plan;
- write your daily question, based on your current role, target role, experience and recent questions and scores; and
- review your resume and suggest improvements, when you ask for a review;
- compare a job posting you paste with your profile and suggest how to prepare, when you use Job match;
- map the skills shown in your resume, assessment and answers onto certification exam objectives, when you use Cert Booster (the percentages are estimates, not an official measure of exam readiness);
- review your answers and give feedback, a score from 1 to 5 and a suggested next step, and, in the Final Shine stage, a clearly organized version of your answer and a resume bullet.
To do this, the relevant information (your career profile, resume, recent questions and answers, including mock interview answers, and any job posting you paste) is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data sent through its API is not used to train its models by default, and Anthropic retains it only for a limited period for trust and safety purposes. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
Safety and abuse prevention. We use automated filters to keep AI coaching focused on IT careers and to block inappropriate, harmful or off-topic content. If an answer or AI response is flagged, or you use the in-app Report option, we store a short excerpt with your account so we can review it, improve the service and prevent misuse. Repeated violations can pause AI coaching on an account.
Voice. If you answer by voice, including in a mock interview, your device's built-in speech service (provided by Apple or Google, or by your browser in the website demo) turns your speech into text. We receive and store only that text, the same as a typed answer; we do not record or keep audio. When the app reads something aloud (questions, feedback, your scorecard summary and the interviewer's replies), that text is sent to an AI voice service run on Cloudflare (Workers AI) and turned into speech. Interviewer replies, feedback and summaries can mention details from your answers. Only lines that are the same for everyone, such as the interviewer's first question, are cached so they load faster; text specific to you is not stored by the voice service. To avoid pauses, the app may load the interviewer's next line in advance; it is kept on your device only until it plays. In the app, interviewer replies are written by Claude; in the website demo, they are written by an AI model on Cloudflare Workers AI, which receives the conversation so far (the questions and your answers) and the next question. The demo's coaching (feedback on practice answers and the mock interview scorecard) also comes from Workers AI, which receives the demo question and your answer, or the demo interview's questions and answers.
Job Fit Check. The free Job Fit Check on our website sends the job posting, role and skills you enter to an AI model on Cloudflare Workers AI to estimate your fit. We don't store what you enter or the result; it is shown once in your browser. If you then join the early-access list, we keep only your email as described above.
AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete or biased. Assessments, levels, questions, feedback and scores are automatically generated practice material. They are not an assessment of your abilities, are not used to make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects, and are not professional, legal, financial or career advice. Please do not include sensitive information (such as government ID numbers, health information, passwords, or confidential information about your employer or clients) in your resume or answers.
3. How we use your information
- To provide the Service: create your account, personalize and deliver daily questions, give feedback and show your progress.
- To manage subscriptions and check whether you have access.
- To send the daily question, evening reminder, certification renewal reminder, mock interview scorecard and weekly recap notifications you asked for. You can turn notifications off in your device settings.
- To respond to support requests and send important service messages (for example, changes to these terms).
- To understand how the app is used (in aggregate) so we can improve it.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, fix problems and comply with law.
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on performance of a contract (providing the Service you signed up for), our legitimate interests (security and improving the Service), and legal obligations. Where we rely on consent (such as notifications), you can withdraw it at any time.
4. How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Service, under contracts that limit their use of it:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Google Firebase (Google LLC) | Authentication, database, file storage, server functions, push notifications and app usage analytics |
| Anthropic, PBC | AI processing for resumes, resume reviews, job matches, certification skill mapping, assessments, questions, feedback and mock interviews |
| RevenueCat, Inc. | Subscription management |
| Stripe, Inc. | Payment processing for Mentor Deep Dive tickets |
| Apple and Google | App distribution, in-app purchases and payment processing |
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Website hosting, security, storage of training sign-ups, the AI voice that reads questions, feedback and interviewer replies aloud, and the AI interviewer and coaching in the website demo (Workers AI) |
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights, safety or property of users or others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the Service (in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information).
5. Where your data is stored
Your data is stored and processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep data
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, resume, questions, answers, mock interviews, job matches, saved stories, certifications, progress and any moderation records are deleted from our database and storage, normally within 30 days, except where we must keep limited records to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce agreements. Copies in provider backups and logs are removed on their normal schedules.
7. Your choices and rights
- Access and update: view and edit your profile, goals and experience in the app.
- Delete your account: in the app, go to Profile → Delete account. If you can't access the app, email info@upskill360.app from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account" and we will delete it. Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription; cancel that in your App Store or Google Play settings.
- Notifications: turn them off in your device settings at any time.
- Privacy rights: depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK, or US states such as California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to appeal our decision. Email us to make a request; we will respond within the time required by law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, access rules that let only you read your data in the app, and restricted server access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Other users can never see your information. Within Upskill360, only the account owner and anyone they authorize to run the Service can access stored data, through password- and two-step-protected administrator accounts. We access your data only when needed to operate, secure or support the Service, for example when you contact us for help, to investigate abuse or a report you send, or to fix a problem. We don't browse resumes, answers or interviews otherwise.
9. Children
The Service is intended for people aged 16 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email.
